Navigating 2021 – The Year of Sustainable Growth

Ok so 2020, what a year right? That definitely took us by surprise to say the least. But I hope I’m not alone when I say that because of what we went through in 2020, we stepped into 2021 ready. We stepped into this year expecting the unexpected and not afraid to take risks because despite all that we went through in 2020 – God kept us.

It’s 2021. We just stepped in. If we are going to correctly navigate through this year then we are going to have to get the right kind of mindset. If we look at what is going on around us we could say that this year has started off in confusion and chaos. Correct? Or not necessarily?

What does God require of us in this season? Let us start the year as we mean to go on:

Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king as supreme… – 1 Peter 2:13.

Ok so we need to submit ourselves to every ordinance, meaning the ordering of civil government. But we also know that God is not the author of confusion, – 1 Corinthians 14:33.

It could be argued that we are living in times of confusion. Not necessarily. So how do we reconcile these two Scriptures? We pray. We pray for “kings and all those in authority that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.”

Let’s talk about contentment, purpose and living a quiet life.

Contentment:

The bible says that Godliness with contentment is great gain – 1 Timothy 6:6

Contentment is a noun meaning the state of happiness and satisfaction.

Why this ? Why that? When, When, When? It’s one thing when the questions are between you and God in the quiet place. It’s another thing all together when people take it upon themselves to be questioning you about your life. It’s 2021, the year of sustainable growth be anxious for nothing..

When they keep asking you questions – God’s not worried so why should I worry?

Now is a time to be content – happiness/satisfaction – and seek the face of God for your own life. You can also seek His redemptive plan for the countries struggling around the world. You don’t need to deflect your anxious thoughts by questioning others about their life. If you are so concerned you can pray for them.

James 5:16 says that, “the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

It’s 2021, the year of sustainable growth. Let us be content and stop explaining ourselves to people. Let us seek the Lord for His redemptive plan. Sometimes people are having anxious thoughts about their own lives and instead of them to ask for prayer they switch it round like they are concerned about you. Now is not the time. Be content.

Purpose:

There’s nothing wrong with allowing a person to live out their purpose and serve God. You don’t need to concern yourself with all the intricate details of their life. It’s like people are just dumbfounded by others ability to serve God and carry out their purpose. It’s ok to just do what God told you to do.  It’s ok to allow people to walk in their purpose. Allow God to create His wonderful tapestry, in His own time.

“Delight yourself in Him and He will give you the desires of your heart.”  – Psalms 37:4

It’s 2021, the year of sustainable growth, we’re still praying and believing God for the things we want to see in our own lives, in our communities and in the world around us. As a new convert or maybe even someone that didn’t know Christ, your standards may have been a bit different. You didn’t know who you were back then. You know who you are now, seek God for His perfect plan. Don’t let anyone rush you off course. Continue to pursue your purpose.

I know they keep talking, they keep bombarding you with their negative, anxious thoughts. Knowingly or unknowingly they may even be planting seeds of fear and doubt. It’s 2021, the year of sustainable growth. Even in seasons of uncertainty God is faithful, we can still make bold moves; He does not forsake His saints.

I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.”  – Psalms 37:25

The Quiet Life:

We’ve come a long way to get here. Now is not the time to be discouraged, listening to the anxious thoughts of others. God is still going to do exactly what He said He was going to do. Trust. Him.

Luke 1:45 “Blessed Is She Who Believed That The Lord Would Fulfil His Promises To Her.”

And finally, although it’s good to show concern for your fellow brothers and sisters, let us remember what Jesus said, it’s good to, “Lead a quiet life, mind your own business, work with your hands.” – 1 Thessalonians 4:11

People always want to question what God is doing.

“Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? – Job 38:4

Quarantine Diaries: So you wanna be a Writer?

Hope you are all doing well, staying home and washing your hands!

Quarantine season has been quite good for me. It has been a productive time actually. I spent the last couple of days putting the finishing touches on a manuscript for a book that I just finished writing. I’ve been twinning – writing two books at the same time.  I’m finally done with one and I can relax for a short time.

This one is a fiction book called “Kitsu’s Diary.” I made up the name. I wrote this book for teenagers; it was inspired by some of my students past and present. But this book also serves as a reminder to adults to be careful of the destructive effects of human emotions out of control. In this book, it is ‘love’ and ‘comparison,’ that get out of control.

I am going to give you a sneak preview of the book below:

Do you want to be a Writer?

When I’m writing non-fiction stories I tend to just write the way that I speak. This is particularly evident in my first book ‘Diaries of a Visionary – Inspiring Dreams.’ I’m sure that many people do this because when I’m marking student’s books I can hear their voices.

I believe that writing  can be therapeutic so sometimes I just write inspired by whatever may be going on in my life at the time. Right now, I’m in a season of being a school teacher. So you will notice that the books I’m writing at the moment explore many of the issues that young people face whilst growing up. I try and be as transparent as possible when writing but being a teacher you can’t talk about everything. That’s why I like to write fiction. When you make up a fictional character you can give them a name and you can use their voice to say anything you want them to say. Love it.

Sometimes it is necessary to just talk about a situation and tell it like it is. Other times there is just no way of telling the story without exposing names and details.  When writing fiction you have to create a character, give that character a personality and then you can use that characters voice to share your message to the world. My advice is, if you have a story to tell then tell it. If you think it’s too much to say directly then create a character and let them say it.

How do I create characters?

This is one way  thatI create characters. I observe people, I look at human behaviour and I analyse it – sometimes a bit too much. I believe that this helps me with my fiction writing. The way that I observe people and the world around me, helps me to paint a vivid picture of individuals within stories. For example, I was at school the other week and I was observing the behaviour of these two particular boys. We only have a small number of students in school but somehow they still managed to get themselves into trouble. I told them that they are going to be characters in my next book. They were so excited – wait until they see how I portray them (lol). I will change the names though.

So when you read my books, fiction or non-fiction you”ll get a little snippet of how I view the world. You wanna be a writer?  You’re asking us to step behind your camera and view the world through your lens.

Kitsu’s Diary  – What is this book about…?

Kitsu’s Diary is with the publishers now. It is too difficult to write, edit and publish your own work. You need a second pair of eyes!! I can be that second pair of eyes for someone else. 🙂

Here is a writing sample that you can read for now:

Immersed in her own thoughts, Kitsu began to dream. Just like every other fifteen-year-old girl, Kitsu always dreamt of the things she wished she had. Well, there was one thing that occupied her thoughts more than any other. Not really a thing, but a person. Kitsu dreamt of the day when she could walk arm in arm with the most popular boy in school. His name was Trevor. Being Trevor’s girlfriend seemed so far away from reality for Kitsu. Popularity is a strange concept, something most teenagers feel is one of the most important aspects of school life. Popularity was a part of Kitsu’s life that only really existed in her imagination. It’s not that she wanted to be popular herself, it’s just that she never expected someone like Trevor to take notice of someone like her. She never expected it…

Kitsu never believed in love at first sight, it was just something that she saw on TV shows. That all changed when one afternoon she saw Trevor; something came over her. It was an unfamiliar feeling but Kitsu was sure that she had met someone special that day.

Milkshake, he was drinking a strawberry milkshake, Kitsu remembered that day as if it was just yesterday. Trevor had been drinking a strawberry milkshake because he was on his way home from the new ice-cream café. Kitsu longed for the day that Trevor would invite her there with him…

That’s a little third-person snippet – would love to hear your comments below.

If you feel inspired to write and want some advice about getting started or publishing a book just send us an email info@diariesofavisionary.co.uk and we will get back to you shortly.

A Poem entitled “Hanging by a rope”

Hi Everyone,

Thank you to all that read, commented on and shared my last poem – we were blessed by each others insights. I always tell my English students, “once a poem is written it belongs to the reader.” The words can mean different things to different people depending on your perspective and your life experiences so thank you for sharing yours. 🙂

Yesterday, I got inspired to write a part two for this poem – I called it ‘Hanging by a Rope,’ inspired by the image at the top.

I hope that this series of poems will be able to expose negative emotions and that people come to a place of healing, completeness and restoration.

I only write what  I am inspired to write; I do hope that my next poem will be full of positive emotions! 🙂

Hanging by a rope – A poem about human emotions

Anxiety is a broken clock,

The minute hand moves in hours and the hours in minutes

A clock broken, anxiety is.

Disappointment is a ball and chain around your neck,

A hollow metal ball, hanging on the edge of

a thick; dark chain.

Misery, is the constant sun not after the rain

Regret is a grey cloud, heavy and transparent,

Rejection is a cat in a kennel.

Offence is a silent assassin,

He comes in subtly and buries his head

behind the bushes of a smiley face.

They say ‘procrastination is the thief of time,’

Well, complacency must be his armed accomplice.

Deception speaks truth,

Anger is an erupted volcano,

Depression is bedridden,

Self-harm is … (sighs)

Suicidal thoughts are a padlock with no key,

His cross is the only Light that sets us free.

Obedience unlocks the key to creativity!

Some of the lines in this poem are a snippet from my new and prophetic book called: “Message to my Maidservants – From His mouth to our ears.”

I’m hoping to be finished with this book once we come out of Lockdown London.

A Poem entitled “Human Emotions”

Hi Guys,

Hope you are all doing well during these strange times that we are living in. 2020 is a year we won’t forget in a hurry right?

I started off this season not knowing what to do with myself but after some much needed reflection I’ve come to realise that there is great purpose in this season.

However, this past week I went in to school to work. There were only a handful of kids in school and we actually had a good time. It was great to see some of my colleagues again, haven’t seen many faces for the past couple of weeks.

Yesterday I woke up with a headache, sometimes I get a headache when I’m supposed to be writing something or when an idea is about to be birthed – I like to think that this is Gods way of speaking to me. Ever happen to you? So, yesterday my headache led me upstairs to the empty staff room where I played some music, prayed and opened up my Mac book.

When I put my fingers to the keyboard my mind stilled on the topic of human emotions. I wrote a poem that started with the word ‘torment,’ then I was inspired to write metaphors about different human emotions. I’ve been reading through the book of Isaiah these past couple of weeks and I’ve seen so many metaphors. It’s amazing! God – the Master Poet. I finished the poem that morning and shared it with a couple of my colleagues.

Now I would like to share it with you all!

I would appreciate it if you could read the poem and respond in the comments by letting me know what your favourite line or image is in the poem and why.

I hope the words minister to you or give you food for thought 🙂

Thanks for reading

Stay safe!

Human Emotions

Torment is a pounding headache that won’t relent,

Denial is a promise blocker;

Insecurity is an armed robber on release;

Jealousy is a fish bite.

Inadequacy is like taking a knife to a gun fight;

Guilt is a stab wound, it pricks like a pin and leaks like a tap

Regret is the drought after the rain,

Selfishness is that itch in the midst of your pain.

Pride is the walk you take along the edge of a cliff;

Lust is a fat wallet full of sugar paper;

Solitude is a continual beating of a drum,

Deception is the loss you face after you’ve won.

Abuse is that broken branch on the tree;

And silence is a prisoner that wants to be free.

A Woman’s Worth!

You were always enough and you are worth it!

So I’ve come to realise that in seasons that precede significant breakthrough there can be many distractions and things that come against us in order to bring about a hindrance. Make no mistake these things are sent to distract you from your destiny.

When Daniel prayed in Chapter 10 his answer was delayed but the Angel of the Lord still visited him and gave him strength.

11He said to me, “Daniel, you are a man who is highly precious. Consider carefully the words that I am about to say to you. Stand up, for I have now been sent to you.” And when he had said this to me, I stood up trembling.

12“Do not be afraid, Daniel,” he said, “for from the first day that you purposed to understand and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. 13However, the prince of the kingdom of Persia opposed me for twenty-one days… [Daniel 10: 11 -13]

Although things may come against you and try to hinder you remember that you are highly precious to God and He has the answer to your prayers!

There are some people that came into your life for a purpose and now their season has quite simply expired. Whatever the case may be, you have to know when someone’s part in your story is over.

I remember one particular day I prayed for God to reveal motives and intentions of people around me. The very next day this one guy completely showed himself. He started complaining about something really petty, then the next time I saw him he was shouting profanities and making a spectacle of himself. Without going into all the details, it’s what we would call “doing the most.” Playing some childish games. I think I just witnessed a grown man throwing a tantrum like a small child. When they show themselves! God is faithful! God is a Protector and that’s why HE HAD TO DO IT! He had to show you who they really were. We can just call these ones the counterfeit.

Living in 2020: love yourself enough to walk away from places and situations that don’t value you. No arguments, no qualms, just walk!

Counterfeit goods look like the real thing, may even sound like the real thing, but they don’t hold the same value, they have an appearance of quality but no substance to them.  Counterfeit goods can only be sold next to other counterfeits; they can’t co-exist with the real thing because the comparison will be too obvious.  Only those that don’t know what the real thing looks like will fall for a counterfeit.

We have to be able to recognise counterfeit friendships and relationships in our lives. In this season God is replacing casual and unprofitable ‘relationships’ with real ones.

When you ask God to show you someone’s true motives and intentions. He will. But what are you going to do with the information that you get? Don’t second guess yourself.

A lot of trouble and pain can be avoided in life if we just follow this one simple rule:

The first time someone shows you who they are believe them!

I’ve come to realise that there’s purpose in the counterfeit too. God wants to know whether you will recognise the real thing when you see it. Are your prayers specific enough? This doesn’t have to just be in relationships but anything, new job, new house, dealing with difficult people.

Are we really getting alone with God and telling Him what we want? Or are we just generalising our prayers to a point where we can’t even recognise whether the thing that came into our life is an answer to a prayer.

You have to know your worth and you have to realise when you could be settling for less than Gods best. Be the person that God created you to be. When you know the love of God in your life you will never be a prisoner to human validation – this is a quote from a sermon I heard last week at church.

I’ve also come to realise that men can be insecure too. There are some men that seek their validation in having women around them, they just want attention.

Then the LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.”

[Genesis 2:18]

God told Adam he will make him “a helper,” but some men just want attention. God did not create you to be an attention-seeker. You need to find your validation in God. Real men serve God! Make no mistake about this, the devil sends counterfeits but God is faithful. Keep on praying and passing those tests!

Finally, I just remembered something that a late uncle of mine used to say to me after morning prayer.  He used to say, “remember you are not just an ordinary girl, you’re a Christian girl!”

If you’re a Christian that means that Christ lives in you. He lives in you! Pray that when people come around you something of Him rubs off on them. If Christ lives in you that means that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. You were always enough and you are worth it!

The Psalmist said:

“I’ve been young, and now am old; yet never have I seen the righteous forsaken Or his descendants begging bread.”

[Psalms 37:25]

The Merciful God of Prophecy

You are valuable to Me! Never forget how valuable you are to Me. I died for you, I shed my precious blood for you that you may come to know Me. And that those who come into contact with you should come to know Me, I have loved you with an everlasting love. For you are my prized possession. Never forget how valuable you are to Me, therefore Go forth and be fruitful.

Says the Lord.

How I knew that it was time to go!

It’s been a busy few months at Diaries of a Visionary with the weekly events and upcoming book tour. It’s also been a relaxing time with the summer holidays in full swing!

What has happened since my last post? Oh yes change of scenery and started at my new school in April of this year. I can’t say too much about work and stuff because it’s a school and there’s safeguarding considerations … but I can always talk in code whenever I can.

April was a time of transition for me. Seasons change all of the time; we have to recognise the times of transition and we have to know when it is time to go.

I remember just before I left my last school and how I knew that it was time to go. Before I left I applied for a couple of positions there but didn’t get them – to God be the glory because if I had gotten any of them I probably would still be at that same school now. A colleague of mine who only joined the school for a short amount of time is one of the people who actually encouraged me to start looking elsewhere.  You have to know when your time in a place is over. Whether it be a place of work or even a relationship.

Staying in a place where you are no longer valued for too long can be self-destructive. Oftentimes when we are used to being in a certain place we can develop a loyalty for that place. When I say ‘place’ remember I mean actual places but also situations. So yes we can develop a loyalty for that place and even if not really happy there we try and find ways to improve things. So in the case of a workplace it could be looking for a new role or looking for a pay rise. In the case of a relationship it could be hoping that the person will change or that things will improve, looking for new places to go together. Often times things like this can become time-consuming and disheartening, especially when you do not get what you are hoping for. It’s times like this when we have to tune in to our Holy Ghost radar and determine whether or not the time has come. Time to go!

I remember an interview I had at my school before I left, I really prepared for the interview, created an amazing presentation and even spoke to a member of Senior Leadership who gave me great ideas for the interview. I did everything there was to do, this is how I knew it was time to go. I prepared so much for the interview but I couldn’t sleep properly the night before; I ended up waking up late the following morning. By the time I left my house it was a case of me having exactly enough time to get to the interview, if there was any traffic at all that was it – I knew I wouldn’t make it. This has happened to me on other days and thanks to clear roads I still managed to make it on time. However, on that particular morning there was a severe delay on my route so I ended up calling the Headteacher to say that I wouldn’t be able to make the interview time. I was told to come in anyway. They asked me a few ridiculous questions but didn’t have time to ask many as I only had a short time slot. When I went for feedback after the interview it wasn’t constructive at all they were bringing up some irrelevant points that are not worth mentioning here. But the good thing is I had great peace, I knew that I knew that I knew it was just time to go.

It’s not every day sit down and try and convince people of your value, if they can’t see it for themselves maybe it’s just time to go. The Headteacher still encouraged me to apply for other roles after that, so I did – elsewhere. I remember another colleague of mine saying to me at the time that:

“They just want you to stay here so that they can keep offering you crumbs. Why take their crumbs when God’s got a whole Kingdom for you?”

That’s a word for whoever wants to receive it!

Around that time I applied for jobs in a few other schools, the first interview I went to I was offered a job there. It felt so liberating, for some reason I thought God wanted me to stay in the same school for five years that’s why I was applying for other roles there, I was tired of the same routine and wanted more of a challenge. I remember praying for God to show me my next step. I applied for three different schools through a teaching jobs website.

God made it so clear where he wanted me to go next because even up until this day I have still not heard back from the other two schools that I applied to! This isn’t the norm, especially with teaching jobs. I got an automated response from one of the schools so I know that my application was definitely received. God made it so clear to me not only that it was time to go but also where He wanted me to go next. As an added bonus the day after I joined the school I found out that my nephew had recently moved house and had joined the school as well. This is what God does!

I remember the day after my interview when I was back at my old school and one of the senior teachers there asked me how the interview went. It was kind of like a passing comment.

“How did the interview go?”  I replied, “It went really well they offered me a job there.”

This news stopped them in their tracks. I don’t think that they were expecting it to all happen so fast – but it did.  This is why it’s not good to get too cocky and take people for granted.

Don’t get me wrong it was a great place to work and I learnt so much there but I also had to know when it was time to go. So don’t stay in an expired place for too long. When seasons change you have to know when it is time to go. I don’t know all that God has in store for me in this next Chapter but I know that it is going to be GREAT. Great things happen when you step out in faith.

By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God. [Hebrews 11:11-12]

Stressful Seasons: DOV Publishing

One thing I have learnt recently is that stressful seasons often give birth to greatness. That’s if you just persevere. God has a purpose in everything.

It all started last month when I simply asked by book publisher X***n to send me the print files so I could get additional copies of my book printed over here. They then started being difficult and quoting hidden fees for me to get the files emailed over. They basically wanted me to purchase copies from them but the prices they were quoting were too much. I found a better deal.

After a series of emails back and forth between myself an X****n I started to become stressed out by the shady and difficult behaviour. They would send me emails but when I try and call them I would get an answering machine. One of them arranged a phonecall with me but didn’t follow through. I remember towards the end of last month being at a Housefires concert and still receiving ridiculous emails from X***n.

I remember sitting on the floor during the concert and looking at my phone. All of a sudden someone who was standing behind me at the concert came and gave me a Word. They said it might sound strange and they had been wrestling with it for a while.

The Merciful God of Prophecy

“God loves you, He wants you to know that the burden you are carrying is for Him to handle. He says he wants you wholeheartedly.”

The merciful, faithful God who always comes through. I knew that I was going through a trial and I also felt that a burden had been lifted. This was around the same time I was going through a time of transition in terms of leaving my current school to start a new one after Easter. That comes with stresses of its own but that’s for another time.

The publishers were just adding to it.  I remember speaking to a lady who was also a publisher, she initially started off by giving me some advice; in her attempt to help me she offered me a reduced publishing package with her company.  However, I felt the whole thing was happening too fast and I didn’t want to make any further rash decisions under stress.

By this time I had already had enough of X****n and had it in mind to form my own publishing company.

I saw “DOV Publishing” in my mind a while ago but wasn’t quite sure what to do with it. During this stressful season with X***n I ended up purchasing my own ISBN numbers from  a major company called  Nielsen UK ISBN Store. I was advised that this is the company you need to be with to get your books in print in bookstores such as Waterstones. So I purchased 10 new ISBNs (for future books) and registered them all under my own publishing company called “DOV Publishing.”

As part of the process of disconnecting from X**** Press and becoming more independent I began the process of re-publishing “Diaries of a Visionary – Inspiring Dreams” and “I AM Bodel” under DOV Publishing. They are both available to download on Kindle and purchase via Amazon.

I have since asked X***n Press to take their versions down. With that being said, please ensure that when purchasing copies of these books online that you purchase the copy published by DOV Publishing and not X***n Press.

Finally, remember what James said in James 1:2- 4

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

I count it all joy that I fell into this trial; upon speaking directly with Amazon and learning a few things about X****n I realised it was time to branch out and birth a vision that God had laid upon my heart.

This is why I say that stressful seasons often give birth to greatness!

What are you going through at the moment? What is causing you stress? This could be an indicator that God wants to birth something new, something great through you.

Perhaps it’s time to break free from relying on people to bring your vision to pass? Time to stop being overcharged and exploited and tap into your own hidden talents and creativity.

Look out for the silver lining in the cloud. Stressful seasons often give birth to greatness.

It’s been a busy season at Diaries of a Visionary. Stay tuned for updates.

Unblemished Bride

Below is another Snippet from my new and prophetic book entitled: Message to my Maidservants

Do you ever get that feeling that you’re just not good enough? It’s like no matter how hard you try you never quite make the mark? But then what mark is that? Do you set for yourself unrealistic standards of perfection then get mad at yourself when you don’t quite match up to them? Be careful you don’t give yourself an inferiority complex.

Inferiority is a noun, it means the state of being of lower quality or status to another.

I call the inferiority complex the state of mind when you constantly feel that you are of lower state or quality to another. This can be brought on by many different factors.

Sometimes people try and project things onto you. For example they may have insecurities or be feeling inadequate in some area of their own life; they then try and project that onto you. If you’re not careful you’ll feed into the lies and give yourself an inferiority complex.

#unblemishedbride #youareenough

Imagine you had a disagreement with someone and near enough at the first instance they revert to comments such as “very Christian of you to do that” like it’s some sort of escape clause for their own behavour. You have to be wary of people who are so quick to attack Christianity at the first instance. You also have to be wary of people who are so quick to attack your ministry or calling as soon as any small incident occurs. It happens amongst Christians too, people suffer from insecurity and they try and project their own inadequacy onto you. It’s like any small thing happens and they wanna magnify it so you can start to question your spiritual state just like how they question theirs!

Anyhooo  it’s one thing when someone else does that but a whole different level when you start doing it to yourself. Remember to give yourself a break!

#selflove #selfesteem #unblemishedbride

In this season of elevation you may have to escort some people to the balcony and pray for them from the stage. The show must go on!

#showtime #grandcircle #noinferiority #noweapon

Oftentimes people try and resolve their inferiority complex with outside factors. People will try and seek approval from others in order to satisfy themselves that they are good enough. Whether it be seeking a certain position to put themselves out there or seeking words of affirmation from others; these are only temporary solutions.

Thank you Lord for opening my eyes to the lies of inferiority. Thank you that I don’t need to seek approval from others in order to accomplish the things you have called me to.

The Merciful God of Prophecy:

Woman I hear the tormenting voices that tell you that you are not good enough. I hear the sounds that try to chase you into the shadows with songs of inadequacy and inferiority. Woman I hear the things that you tell yourself , but do you know what I call you?

My Unblemished Bride!

I know all the fears that you try to hide.  The things you keep deep down inside. My arms are stretched out and open wide. To receive you unto me My unblemished bride.

Lately I’ve been reading the book of Daniel. Daniel was faithful and he did all things that God called him to with an excellent spirit.  In Daniel 6 the governors tried to plot against Daniel but the plots had to fail. They could find no charge or fault because he was faithful.

Moral of the story ~ just do what God told you to do.

Keep pushing through, don’t listen to the lies and complete your assignment with an excellent spirit.

We just stepped in …

Hey everyone … it’s 2019 and for some of us we literally just stepped in to a brand new season!

I have been pondering about what to write about this month as there are so many things that come to my mind when I think about the year ahead.

Every year we tend to set goals about what we want to do and what we want to achieve for the year ahead; the thing is how many of those goals do we actually achieve? I’ve already spoken into 2019. This is the year when we won’t just talk about the things we wanna do – in this season we’re gonna step out in faith and make moves –  power moves. One of my goals for 2019 was to have my own website and move away from the wordpress blog and as you can see – exhibit A. #wejuststeppedin

Quick Testimony – I had to step out in faith before upgrading my site as I didn’t know where the funds were going to come from, but I did it anyway. Within A few days of me doing so my account was replenished by some generous sponsors who decided to purchase copies of my latest book for five times the retail price. When you step out in faith you don’t step out alone – God steps in. So this year do whatever you gotta do just #getitdone.

God has so much in store for us this 2019 we literally #juststeppedin #Icomebearinggifts

It’s 2019 and we need to live above limitations. How do we live above limitations? It all starts with a heart check. Make no mistake about it – unforgiveness will block your blessings.

But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. [Matthew 6:15]

Imagine praying for God to bless you and to move in your life but God isn’t listening to you because all He remembers is your sin. That’s how it is when we hold people captive in our own hearts and refuse to let go of things.

In Matthew 27 just before Jesus went to the cross the soldiers offered Him a drink. In Matthew 27:34 its says that they gave Him “sour wine mingled with gall” to drink. But when He had tasted “it, He would not drink. Jesus knew the taste of bitterness and He refused to drink it. #2019 #abovelimitations

Gall is a noun, it is an old-fashioned word for poison. This means that before Jesus went to the cross they tried to give him a bitter drink that would poison Him. Sound familiar? In the next verse Matthew 27:35 the bible says “then they crucified Him.” If Jesus drank the sour wine it would have poisoned him – He would have literally been poisoned to death by bitterness. But Jesus refused to take it. Catch the revelation, it was the soldiers who were taking Jesus to the cross that wanted Him to drink the sour wine (bitter poison).  They wanted Him to die before He even got to his destination – the cross was part of His destiny. Remember He had to die in order to rise!

Bitterness will keep you from your destiny!  In all that Jesus went through He still refused to allow bitterness and unforgiveness to enter into Him. He knew that it would poison Him and He had too much at stake.

It’s 2019 – we gotta live above the limitations because  #wejuststeppedin

So what happened to you last year? Disappointment? Abandonment? False accusations – whatever it is can’t be worse than what Jesus went through even before He got to the cross. He still refused to drink the sour wine; it tasted bitter and He knew that it would poison Him.

It’s 2019, we gotta live above limitations if we are going to enter in and see all of God’s promises. This means we gotta let some things go and realise that #wejuststeppedin.

Thanks for reading – I don’t know about you but I am over excited about this year ahead!!
